Three Things To Tell Yourself When You Feel Overwhelmed
You've got this!❤️
This time of year can be really busy and stressful. You’re rushing to finish school and balancing chores, friendships, and extracurriculars on top of that. You’re excited for what the future brings, and yet just a tiny bit scared.
You’re overwhelmed. And you don’t have any energy to hype yourself up. Which is why I’m here with three pieces of advice you can tell yourself when the going gets tough.
#1. Take things one step at a time.
Progress is only made if you break everything down into logical steps. You need to write a chapter? Write one sentence. Then another. Then another until you have a paragraph. Motivate yourself through the goal until it’s done!
#2. Ask for help when you need it.
Sometimes having too much on your plate means you need help with some of it. So go ask for help! If you’re like me and basically don’t know when to stop working, ask your family members to set some deadlines for rest or relaxation time.
#3: You’re human.
As humans, we’re undeniably flawed. You’re not supposed to be a superhuman, so be kind to yourself and don’t push too hard. The work can take a break now and again so you can relax.
