Hi, I’m Addie D. Mueller! I’m a teen writer and bookworm who lives in the Midwest.
I’ve been writing stories since age five, although I never imagined I would someday be writing as a career. In my lifetime, I’ve wanted to be a baker, an actress, an artist, and many other things.
Writing didn’t become my serious hobby until age thirteen. Before then, my life was filled with other things I wanted to do more: softball, spelling bees, acting, swimming, etc. But in the spring of 2020, I found myself with a lot of time—and not a lot to do.
That’s when I got a great story idea that ended up changing my life. It was a night like any other, and I was thinking about The Chronicles of Narnia again, specifically the idea of how hard being a royal would be. With that idea in mind, I began working on my first book: the story of a mischievous, underprepared prince and his friends who decide to save their kingdoms from the evil villain planning their demise.
In the midst of this plotting, I joined an online community for teen writers. That group has been an invaluable resource, filled with amazing friends and incredible storytelling. It’s a place where I can be myself and connect with other creative minds. My stories have gotten better and stronger because of them.
I finished the first draft of my first book (dubbed Project Royalty) in April 2024 and am now deep into the second draft! My books feature relatable, entertaining characters who choose hope, second chances, and deep, authentic friendships. (Not to say there isn’t any suspense or villains in my book…😏) My goal is to finish my first series and get it published in the next ten years. I can’t wait to share Caleb’s story with all of you!
Since early 2024, I’ve also been a part of the S.E. Collaborative Guild of Authors and Artists! Our first project, an anthology named Firefly Tales, features my short story “Cecil’s Conundrum” and takes place in the same world as Project Royalty. It’s out now, and you can order it here!
